I was able to take the older boys to the library on Saturday afternoon to see Santa Claus. The library does this every year, which is great, since it's super close to our house. We did miss the Christmas parade, but it was snowy and cold, so I didn't mind. And, the boys didn't know that we missed it. We only had to stand in line for maybe a half hour. There we probably more adults in line than kids. All three of the boys were excited to go-especially Ewan, and even Marcus. Cale did say that this was not the real Santa Claus. I panicked for a second until he went on to say that the real Santa is at the North Pole. Crisis averted for now. What did the boys ask for?.....
Marcus wouldn't tell me at first. "Don't worry about it.", he said. Then he told me he asked for Mario Galaxy 2, a Wii game. Maybe Santa can find a used version at the video exchange store (Santa is a little cheap).
Ewan asked for a megabloks toy. He saw this toy on a commercial last week. He still talks about it. Santa has no idea what it is and has gotten on the ToysRUs website with Ewan to see if we could pinpoint it. No luck. Santa may have to take Ewan to the toy store to have Ewan point it out.
Cale asked for "cards". The Santa in the photo was a little confused by that request. This Santa knows that Cale meant Yu-gi-oh or Pokemon cards. This was close to Cale's heart because I had just denied the request to purchase cards at the store. I'm sure Santa can come through for this gift request.
Santa also asked each of the boys if it was okay to bring some surprise presents too. Of course they said "yes". Now, this Santa needs to get busy.
(Where was Liam-at home taking a much needed nap. Maybe next year he will get to meet the man in red.)
