Mother's Day swag

I love all my little gifts I get for Mother's Day. I love how the older boys will bring theirs in wrapped in tissue paper for me to open. All my gifts are sweet and all I need.
Flowers and artwork. Marcus and Cale did the wooden plaques and Ewan's is at the end-a clay starry night painting.

Also from Ewan. The hands say, "she is nice, she is fun, she is sweet, she gives me food, she helps, she likes me."

Necklace, strung together by Liam.

Kella's fingerprints on this pot. Done in her preschool class.

what we did while Daddy was away

Andy was gone for his last of 5 weekend football camps this weekend.  We managed to keep ourselves busy...

Kinley played with the Anna Kitty

Ewan had a soccer game

Kinley got to watch

Liam had a soccer game-and scored a goal!

Cale (#10) had a soccer game.  Marcus got to watch.

Marcus had a soccer game.

We also went to our babysitter's wedding.  The kids, even Kinley, were surprisingly good.  Marcus wanted to sit in the car instead of going into the wedding.  I think it was residual grumpiness from not being allowed to bring his tablet.

And then there was Mother's Day.  I loved getting the little art project the boys made for me in school.  I also got a few petunias that the kids planted in Childrens' Worship at church.  One of the things I love most is getting to be mom to my six kids.

Kinley modeled her new onesie

Kinley screamed and hollered at the nursery ladies at church and then finally fell asleep in the swing.

We went out for ice cream.  We stood in line for a good 20 minutes before we got out treat.  Liam entertained some strangers by singing "The Wise Man Built His House Upon the Rock" several times.  They were waiting, too, and enjoyed the performance.

That's all. (and that's enough!) This weekend kept up very busy.  I can assure you that the kiddos fell asleep quickly tonight.

My Happy Mother's Day

Andy made me breakfast in bed :-)

We went out to eat for lunch.  The boys were excited we went to a restaurant.  Andy and I were excited that we didn't have to think about what to make for lunch.  And, the entire meal for 7 people cost less than $35!
Happy surprise for me!  I got a new teapot.  I've been wanting one for a while and I love this color!

Some pics with the kids before I headed off to work that evening to care of new moms.

All the flowers I get from the kids.  I love getting these!

Mother's Day swag

I am one lucky mom!  Here all are the things I got for Mother's Day....
a planting of seeds from Liam (yet to be determined what kind)

some paper flowers from Cale, a purple foam flower from Ewan and a "potted plant" from Liam

a card with a handwritten note from Ewan (I do not know why it posted upside down)

a sweet note from Cale

this was another project from Cale's class-I like the letter "T" myself :-)

Liam colored a card for me

Marcus made a little book.  Shaped like a hat, it was titled "Hats Off to Mom".  Each page had a prompt for Marcus to fill in.  Here they are...

"My mom wears many hats in our family.  My mom is a teacher.  She taught me how to....,,do the multiplication table."
"My mom is a cook.  I love it when she makes....home made pancakes."
"My mom is a nurse.  She always makes me feel better when she...tells me to rest."
"My mom is a magician.  She can always find lost things.  Once she found...my missing styles for my D.S." (Marcus's original spelling included-ie stylus)
"My mom is a sanitation worker.  When she sees my room, she says, "...clean up the room."
"My mom is a chauffeur.  She drives my to ....the denist."(this one is sweet because the dentist must be on his mind, since he had an appointment soon.  and also, he edited his own work by circling the misspelled word-but he didn't correct it)
"My mom is the best mom ever!"  stick picture of what I can assume is me :-)
